  As Elon Musk inches closer and closer to a Twitter buyout, Republicans prepare for a possible return of Donald Trump and other popular party members to the social media platform. Musk has said that he believes the app should be a platform where free speech thrives, so he will likely reorganize and relax different censor methods that are in place. Truth Social got off to a rocky start with unforeseen restricted user access that resulted in a loss of interest by many which ultimately produced an outcome of low user participation on the app. Two top executives also fled from the app during critical release points.
